The “anti-drone gun” was approved and classified as a means of “individual protection” for the Ukrainian Armed Forces to counter enemy drones through radio-electronic suppression of the drone’s control channel.

The device, manufactured in Ukraine, can create interference at frequencies of 700–1000 MHz with an output power of 50 W, according to the specifications of the gun.

The claimed interference range is 100 meters, and the uninterrupted operation time is 60 minutes. In addition, the gun is quite compact, weighing only about 1kg, according to the ministry’s website.

“The anti-drone gun is a personal electronic defense device. It is a means of establishing electromagnetic interference, [blocking] the control and video channels of enemy drones,” stated the Ministry of Defense.
